We typically get a 50 % deposit to hold reservations with our trip agreement. The balance is due 10 days before trip departure. You own that trip time and we cannot sell to another party.
If you need to cancel the time slot and reschedule to a different available time, that’s ok, within a reasonable time (2 weeks or more in front of charter). The rescheduled time must be within 1 year of original booked dates.
If we need to cancel, (weather or mechanical issues beyond our control) we will re-book at another acceptable time within 1 year of original dates chartered.
If we need to cancel due to personal issues, a full refund will be given otherwise we do not offer refunds.
For our closer drive down guests, stay in contact, if the weather is poor and looks like rescheduling should be considered. We will work with you to make rescheduling possible. The weather services do a pretty good job predicting 2-3 days out. When she’s a blowing 20+ knots, it can get a bit bouncy, a dangerous situation for diving in the waves and uncomfortable for fishing on back deck. We want you to enjoy your trip, so let’s consider a reschedule. If it’s blowing 25+, we won’t go.
For our Northern fly-down guests. I know it’s difficult to change planned vacations (flights and all). Key West is loaded with activities to make for a great vacation in most any weather condition. We will help guide and accommodate you to get the most out of your vacation. Playing the weather to your advantage and mixing with fantastic land adventures when weather dictates. We have many good lobster hunting spots in protected areas. Wind doesn’t always stop us, it simply changes our opportunities.
For our Day Trip guests: When you booked, your credit card went on file for the deposit. Time allowing, you can reschedule to an acceptable time if needed otherwise, if you do not show up boat side at dock within 1 hour of trip departure, your credit card will be charged for the entire trip.
Caveat: don’t party too hearty the night before!
